Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the punching shear of reinforced concrete slabs (with steel shearhead as shear reinforcement) under eccentric load; this simulates the effect of unbalance moment on slab column connection with shearhead. The research includes testing nine specimens with dimensions (1000 x 1000 x 80 mm) divided into three groups of specimens according to the percent of shearheads. Variables of this study are the number of stiffeners of the shearheads and the amount of eccentricity. The results show that the deformations and strength characteristic of the slab are affected.
